Position Overview: The Vice President of Commercial & Industrial Business Development will be responsible for leading Brooks Construction Corp’s initiatives in the commercial and industrial sectors. This role demands a strategic leader with a deep understanding of these markets, strong business acumen, and a successful track record in developing and managing high-value business opportunities. The VP will collaborate closely with the executive team to enhance the company’s market presence and drive growth in these areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a strategic business development plan for commercial and industrial projects that aligns with the company's overall objectives and growth targets.
Achieve revenue goal of $30mm annually with 50% growth year over year.
Forge and nurture strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, real estate developers, and other stakeholders to secure new business and foster long-term partnerships.
Oversee the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new commercial and industrial project opportunities, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals, providing support, training, and direction to achieve performance goals and drive success.
Negotiate and manage contracts, agreements, and partnerships to maximize business opportunities and ensure favorable terms.
Collaborate with internal teams, including project management and engineering, to integrate business development strategies with project execution and delivery.
Represent Brooks Construction Corp at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation in the commercial and industrial sectors.
Develop and implement strategies for market penetration and business expansion, including identifying and pursuing new market segments and geographic regions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, with at least 5 years focused on the commercial and industrial construction sectors. Proven success in securing large-scale projects.
Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to drive data-informed decisions and develop actionable business plans.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial construction trends, market dynamics, and regulatory environments.
Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strategic relationships and partnerships.
Proven experience in negotiating complex contracts and managing high-value projects.
Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, partners, and project sites.
