Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Receivable Clerk’s primary responsibilities include supporting the company’s financial operations through accurate billing, collections, and managing customer relationships. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and have a strong understanding of the accounts receivable process.

Responsibilities:

Process and post incoming payments accurately and timely in the accounting systems
Reconcile customer accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies
Regularly prepare and analyze aging reports to provide updates on delinquent accounts
Work with management and Wholesale teams to review credit memos and adjustments
Reconciliation of credit card payments against customer accounts
Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining internal control policies and procedures as it relates to the Accounts Receivable function
Prepare and maintain various reports as required by management.
Monthly reconciliation of Accounts Receivable-related accounts
Assist with year-end audit preparations.
Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, including compliance with international, federal, state, and local requirements.
Support other accounting and finance team members as necessary.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business is highly preferred. Will also consider relevant combinations of education and experience.
3-5 years of relevant professional experience with a deep understanding of general accounting principles
Proficiency in MS Office, with intermediate knowledge in Excel • Experience with ERP Systems, Netsuite preferred.
Ability to independently research, analyze, and resolve issues utilizing problem-solving techniques.
High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
Takes initiative to implement changes that will simplify and improve processes.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively support individuals at all levels within the organization with timely and effective communication, clarity, and positivity.
Exceptional time management and organization skills.
Willing to tackle challenges in a continuously changing environment.
Ability to work in a start-up environment where multi-tasking is required.

Benefits:

Salary range $65,000 - $80,000 depending on experience.
