Job Summary

The Human Resource Assistant plays a key role in supporting the HR team and ensuring smooth HR operations. You will handle a variety of administrative and clerical tasks while maintaining accurate HR records and assisting with recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, and employee communications. You will be the go-to person for employee inquiries and HR processes, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine. What does a typical day look like?

Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation within the HRIS system.
Perform audits of HR files and benefit records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile benefit invoices and support accurate payroll processing.
Assist in recruitment processes by screening resumes, conducting pre-screen phone interviews, and coordinating first and second-round interviews.
Draft and post job descriptions in collaboration with hiring managers and HR management.
Prepare formal communications for HR management review, including offer letters, regret letters, employee announcements, and memos.
Assist with the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
Support the HR team in developing training programs and additional HR projects.
Perform additional duties as required to support HR operations and organizational goals.

What qualifications are required for this position?

Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Minimum of 2+ years of related office experience, preferably within an HR department.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or related software.
Ability to quickly learn HRIS, payroll management systems, and similar applications. (Experience with ADP is preferred.)
Excellent customer service orientation and ability to interface with all levels of the organization
Eagerness to learn, a willingness to think outside the box, accept new challenges, and have fun
Satisfactory completion of background check including criminal, credit and professional references
