Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented In-House Travel Agent to support our privately-owned pharmacy chain. The successful candidate will oversee all corporate travel arrangements, including flight, hotel, and car rental bookings, ensuring cost-efficiency while strictly adhering to company travel policies. With an average of 20 bookings per day, the role requires proficiency in navigating secondary travel platforms, such as Travelocity, and a strong ability to identify the most advantageous deals to optimize savings for the company. This role is vital in ensuring smooth, cost-efficient travel arrangements that align with company policies and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage travel arrangements (flights, hotels, car rentals) for company employees, averaging 20 bookings per day.
Use platforms like Travelocity to find cost-effective options and negotiate with vendors for the best rates.
Monitor travel expenses, ensuring compliance with budgets and policies.
Handle last-minute changes and provide comprehensive travel itineraries and support.
Track travel expenditures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Stay current on industry trends and travel technologies to improve the company’s travel processes.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a corporate travel agent or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of travel booking platforms and secondary travel markets.
Ability to handle a high volume of bookings with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to secure cost-effective travel options.
Familiarity with travel management software and tools.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
Ability to handle travel emergencies or last-minute changes calmly and efficiently.

May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day

Holiday & PTO Policy:

We provide qualifying full-time employees with 23 PTO (Paid Time Off) days annually. PTO is used for holidays, vacation, sick leave, and personal leave.

Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
