Position Summary: Oversee overall quality control and plant sanitation activities.

Product Quality/ Food Safety:

Ensure the manufacture of products of the highest quality – outstanding in appearance, package presentation, performance and taste – by correctly handling and utilizing raw materials and good manufacturing, food safety and quality practices.
Take all measures necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
Recommend the implementation of standards for product quality.
Assist in managing customer feedback for product improvements.
Review and maintain all daily HACCP and SQF2000 level 2 documents and programs.
Manage the microbiological testing.
Prepare customer and laboratory samples.

Ensure a safe, clean and productive work environment, and assist in maintaining a positive employee relations climate throughout the organization.
Oversee the training of personnel in the performance of job responsibilities, including the safe and proper handling and/or use of material, tools, machinery, and equipment.
Maintain an adequately staffed, well qualified, and fully trained sanitation organization.
