As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for presenting Southeastern in the best, most comprehensive light to both prospective and current clients. Secure market share and create profitable margins.
Pull account profiles for each planned call and execute a strategy for increasing market share (at a profitable level) during each call. Effectively plan and execute from quarterly plan and properly utilize and complete the daily call report. Review origin/destination manifest for new call opportunities (must make two prospecting calls per day) and confidently ask for business on each call. Complete all pricing requests and leads generated from a day’s work. Negotiate pricing and conditions. Complete required administrative work in a timely manner. Plan for a minimum of three lunch meetings a week and set appointments for the following week by phone. Work with drivers and sales force to ensure the highest level of driver involvement in sales and marketing programs. Review results and action plans of the previous month. Make appropriate changes to the quarterly action plan. Complete individual sales budgeting each quarter.
For this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, and a valid driver's license. We would prefer for you to have at least 5 years of experience in Account Management or Sales.
