Job Description
A New York City based client is looking for a highly skilled, compassionate Registered Nurse to thrive caring for patients living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. An ideal candidate is experienced in providing excellent nursing care, collaborative within an interdisciplinary team, and is an excellent communicator with clients, families, supervisors, and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse licensed in New York
- Bachelor s Degree from accredited university or college
- Experience working in a setting with interdisciplinary care planning
- 1-2 years of experience in clinical care as an RN
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with persons with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, and/or mental illness
- Bilingual Spanish/English
Responsibilities
- Follow accepted standards of nursing practice using sound scientific principles, performing procedures, and using equipment
- Perform nursing evaluation, nursing care, and recommendations and documents appropriately
- Coordinate client services with interdisciplinary team
- Ensure the provision and coordination of client teaching regarding prevention, transmission, risk reduction, and risk elimination strategies for HIV/AIDS
- Triage client care and schedules follow up visits
- Perform duties assigned by clinical service leaders
