Job Description
• Lead the Langley IAFNOS Messaging and Collaboration team consisting of 9+ employees
• Work with the IAFNOS Messaging and Collaboration lead at Peterson SFB to standardize operations and enforce consistent standards.
• Responsible for employee mentoring and development, including the development or maintenance of the functional area training plan.
• Responsible for ensuring standard operating procedures (SOP) and other operational procedures are maintained.
• Responsible for tracking employee certifications.
• Responsible for ensuring performance targets are met.
• Responsible for preparing contractual deliverables.
• Responsible for employee scheduling to ensure the required shift coverage.
• Responsible for administrative functions (Timecards, Appraisals, ETC).
• Provide feedback to leadership team for staffing and other resource needs.
• Participate in the interview and selection process for all Messaging and Collaboration candidates.
• This position may require occasional support for business development activities.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Understanding of Exchange Hybrid operations
• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and it's interaction with Active Directory
• Familiarity with Exchange Online
• Familiarity with Active Directory Admin center (ADAC)
• Familiarity with Azure
• Experience using PowerShell cmdlets and scripts creation to manage exchange
• Working knowledge of MS defender Email collaboration (exchange message trace, Investigations and Policies and Rules
• Working knowledge with Exchange admin center to manage and troubleshoot various types of mail flow issues incoming and outgoing (spam, whitelist, transport rules)
• Managing permissions and access control of various types of recipients. (mailboxes, groups, resources, contacts, and shared boxes)
• Incident Handling and Response actions to track, recover and or delete messages
• Working knowledge of 2019 server to maintain and troubleshoot performance issues with exchange related services.
Education & Experience
• Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent (4 years of specialized experience), and 10+ years of related experience.
• 5+ years of direct leadership experience
• USAF or other Military Experience is highly desired.
Certifications
• Required
o IAT II - CySA+, or Security+ (or equivalent), or higher
o Microsoft MS102 or comparable certification with the ability to obtain the MS-102 within 120 days.
• Desired
o Completion of the Microsoft Identity Management track
o ITIL v4 Foundation
Security Clearance
• Desired
o Active Secret Clearance
• Required
o Applicants must have eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.
Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)
• This is primarily a Monday - Friday dayshift position. This is a 24/7/365 mission, and extended hours/days may be required
• Occasional travel may be required to Peterson SFB, Langley AFB, Lackland AFB, Hickam AFB, or Ramstein AFB.
