The Lab Technician supports the cannabis biomass processing and post-processing tasks for both the hydrocarbon and ethanol processing rooms. This entry level lab role directly supports the Lab Director and the processing room leads.
Ideal candidates will be open to a hybrid 1st/2nd shift role with a projected shift of 12pm-8pm Mon to Fri.
- Learns and performs proper techniques for packing processing socks of fresh frozen and cured biomass for processing.
- Supports the PreRoll production team with quality control and initial packaging of infused preroll products.
- Supports the Packaging Team with final packaging of specific product lines for infused pre-rolls.
- Concentrate packaging includes, but not limited to: Filling/Capping Jars, Folding/Filling Cartons, Compliance Labeling
- Opportunity for training for operation of the C1D1 room as an Extraction Technician.
- Opportunity for training for operation of the biomass washing processes within the C1D2 room.
- Cleans any/all production areas to ensure no cross contamination occurs.
- Follows the SOP's in regards to documenting your daily work on daily recap sheet.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Recording and monitoring process conditions to ensure compliance to standard operating procedures.
- Proper weighing, data recording, and batch tracking.
- Assist in monitoring processing supplies and inventory.
Salary$15 - $16 USD per hourRequired Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Solid verbal communication skills
- Must be 21 years or older and pass any and all required pre-employment screenings
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work on-site at the Lion Labs facility in Lansing MI
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for duration of shift
- Must be able to work with delicate precision and strong attention to detail
- Work in a fast-paced environment and meet minimum quality and production metrics
- Must be service oriented and have the ability to take initiative with little direction or supervision -
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 or more pounds -
Desired Skills
- The ideal candidate will have at least one to three years of manufacturing and packaging experience with a focus on ensuring product safety, consumer safety and satisfaction, and high product quality.
- Previous experience in Cannabis or Botanical processing environment.
