Our positions are on-site at our corporate office located in Malta, NY. Core business hours are between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Payroll and HR Analyst
This is a critical, hands-on HR and Payroll support position. This position is in an e-HR environment and will work heavily within our HRIS, benefits, prevailing wage and 401k systems and is a best fit for a digitally oriented HR/Payroll professional. While our combined companies are less than a 100 employees, our work is complex, with many payroll and HR business and compliance requirements, including prevailing wage/certified payroll reporting, fringe trusts, job costing and multi-company payroll. Exceptional computer and systems capabilities are required with the ability to research and to solve problems. Candidate must have enough related experience to have a strong foundation for core position requirements. An excellent support team is in place.
Remote work is not an option for this position as our company functions most effectively in-person.
- Prepare and process weekly payroll for 80 employees (7 companies)
- Prepare weekly certified payroll for 50 employees in LCP Tracker
- Prevailing wage schedule maintenance
- Employee on-boarding and off-boarding
- Benefits reconciliations and billing issue resolution
- 401k and benefits trust funding, reporting, reconciliations, compliance reporting and related support
- Leave accounting
- Leave processing (FMLA, PFL, Workers Compensation, Disability)
- Unemployment processing
- Employee records maintenance
- Subcontractor certified payroll and apprentice ratio reporting review
- Support subcontractors related to certified payroll and related reporting questions
- Management of other HR related records and information, including training records
- HR related reporting
- HRIS system management and support, including expansion of system utilization and capability
- General HR and Payroll documentation and compliance support
BS Human Resources, Business, Accounting or a related degree preferred
AS or AS equivalent coursework required
SHRM-CP and/or payroll or other HR related certifications preferred
2 years of payroll experience, including union or certified payroll experience
2 years of benefits administration experience
Experience processing leaves including FMLA, PFL, Workers Compensation, Disability etc.
Experience processing unemployment claims
Experience with LCP Tracker helpful
Experience with prevailing wage requirements at the State and Federal level, highly desired
Experience with job costing highly desired
Construction payroll and/or HR experience highly desired
Multi-company payroll experience desired
High proficiency in payroll and HRIS systems (Paylocity and employee navigator helpful)
Strong ability to research and problem solve
Proficient reporting, data manipulation and analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong follow-up

Compensation range: $30.00-$40.00/hour
Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
