Licensed Architect Job Description
CORE is searching for a skilled and experienced Licensed Architect for the conceptualization, design, planning, and execution of facility related architectural projects, ensuring that they meet client requirements, adhere to building codes and regulations, and are completed within budget and timeline constraints.
Responsibilities & Duties
Collaborate with clients to determine project objectives, outline goals, and establish budget limitations.
Develop architectural designs and detailed construction drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Create and present design proposals, including 3D models and visualizations, to present to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, ensuring alignment with project objectives and requirements.
Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal and industry standards throughout the design and construction phases.
Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate building conditions and provide recommendations for design enhancements and effective problem-solving.
Work in conjunction with engineering and construction teams to ensure design specifications are accurately translated into construction plans.
Review and evaluate contractor bids, proposals, and construction documents to guarantee quality and adherence to project specifications.
Oversee construction progress, conduct site inspections, and deliver regular updates to clients and project stakeholders.
Work with diverse teams, including architects, drafters, engineers, and contractors, to ensure effective communication, coordination, and successful project completion.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in architectural design and construction.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of a Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
Current NCARB registration and a license to practice architecture in Michigan is required.
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience is essential, with a preference for candidates who have experience working with industrial, commercial, multi-family and municipal projects
LEED accreditation is preferred
Strong proficiency in architectural software, including Revit and AutoCAD.
A firm understanding of BIM (Building Information Modeling) is highly desirable
Extensive expertise in architectural principles, building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methodologies
Outstanding design and visualization abilities to effectively communicate concepts and ideas
Excellent planning and people skills with the ability to manage time in a dynamic environment
Strong computer skills

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
