Working under close supervision:
60% - Assists with the development of hardware and software requirements for rocket propulsion systems product development using Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques. Responsible for derivation, allocation, and documentation of requirements in requirements database and specifications. Coordinates requirements traceability and change management with IPT members. Assists with defining and coordinating requirements verification plans with integrated product team members. Following established procedures, coordinates plans and compliance assessment and certification.
Essentail Functions:
15% - Performs MBSE driven functional analysis and coordinates system trade studies. Coordinates selection of optimized concept baselines through benefit/cost trades in support of definition of system architecture and objectives.
15% - Performs project risk assessment and management and prepares and reports results on mitigation plans.
10% - Communicates results in oral presentations and written communication.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree desirable. Coursework in Systems Engineering (requirements management, risk management, product development cycle) disciplines and rocket propulsion strongly desired. Experience with MBSE, IBM DOORS, IBM Rhapsody or equivalent software strongly preferred.
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
