Job Summary
The New Business Development Assistant will provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as new business unit setup documentation, eligibility, control, and other required documents for new American Indian tribally owned LLCs to be entered into the SBA 8(a) business development program.
Qualifications/Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- Experience as a business development assistant or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Strong computer skills
- Understanding of business financials, accounting practices, and forecasting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Extreme organizational skills
- Critical thinking skills
Essential Functions
- Setting up new business unit LLCs by following established checklists and procedures.
- Maintain record repository in both company's share drives and SharePoint.
- Draft and send for approval resolutions and minutes.
- Request and maintain records of required accounts.
- Compilation of Articles of Formation, Resolutions, Minutes, and necessary documentation into correct file format and timeline order.
- Working with government agencies to ensure compliance.
- Attending meetings and keeping minutes.
- Prepare research or technical reports.
- Prepare documentation for certification, transactions, or regulatory compliance.
- Manage clerical or administrative activities.
- Maintain highly confidential or critical confidentiality matters. Prioritize and determine the appropriate course of action, referral, or response, exercising judgment to reflect executive leadership style and organization policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Experience and skills
- Experience with SBA 8(a) company setup or annual review practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
- Exceptional communication skills
- Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization's physical premises.
- Frequent moderate to high-stress levels.
