Position Description
The Foreman is the first point of contact for crews on a job site and leads team members in performing individual tasks as part of a larger project. They work with the Site Supervisor to have a working knowledge of the individual job scopes and are responsible for giving clarity and direction to team members. Foreman must effectively lead work and people simultaneously.
Position Responsibilities
• Supports and takes direction from the Site Supervisor, delegates tasks to crew members.
• Works in the field alongside others and is a go-to for individual crews.
• Has understanding and working knowledge of all trades and schedules.
• Teaches crew members individual tasks as well as gives product knowledge.
• Organize and assist with all documentation needed for the Site Supervisor.
• Has a working knowledge of computer software programs necessary to execute Elements processes including MS Project, Excel, Word, and Procore Field.
• Initiates and writes RFI's.
• Forward and career thinking, with focus on customer service.
• Builds effective relationships and communicates effectively (both written and verbal) with team, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, builder reps, and others.
• Communicates specific directions to crew members and can present information in various ways to ensure the entire crew understands.
• Creates as-builts and marks up plans to reflect changes.
• Prepares job site and ensures proper tools and materials are present and in good working order.
• Responsible for understanding the job's budget, scope, schedule, and reporting.
• Responsible for managing man hours to ensure continuity with budget, schedule, and time expectations.
• Has knowledge and understanding of change order process.
• Keeps Safety in the forefront of the job. Identify and mitigate hazards.
• Works with the Safety Coordinator to facilitate safety meetings as needed.
• Oversees the cleanliness of the job site and works to mitigate potential hazards.
• Works with Site Supervisor to be a liaison with subcontractors and vendors.
• Manages on-site logistics as directed by Site Supervisor.
• Responsible for the development of positive team morale.
• Encourages team members and works diligently and with humility.
• Exhibits clear and effective people skills. Has a servant heart for leadership.
• Intentionally exhibits Elements culture throughout the workforce and re-enforces Elements MIGs
Position Requirements
• High school diploma
• Has participated in Elements leadership programs and assessments.
• 2+ years' experience in laborer and/or carpentry roles and diversified commercial construction knowledge.
• Well respected by team members and leadership.
• OSHA 30, CPR certified.
• Ability to read plans and schedules.
• Experience implementing process strategies.
• Understands and reflects Elements MIGs and culture.
• Self-management and drive are key to success in this position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of Procore and Paylocity.
• Ability to work closely and cooperatively with others.
• Competency in building and effectively managing interpersonal relationships at all levels.
• Proficient and effective communicator with high attention to detail.
Job Location: Travel to job sites required.

Wage: $35 - $40 per hour DOE
