Our client, a well-known entertainment company, is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join their team for a 12-month hybrid contract role in Glendale/Burbank, CA. The position involves working onsite from Monday to Thursday and remote work on Fridays.
The Social Media Specialist will be a collaborative and creative team player, detail-oriented, with a deep understanding of digital platforms and online communities. They will focus on engaging digital communities, promoting user-generated content (UGC), and supporting digital campaigns, content development, and programming.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily social content programming, reporting, and asset management.
- Propose and create content in line with brand voice and campaign goals.
- Develop new social media concepts and trends.
- Stay updated on digital trends to guide strategy.
- Cover social media events and manage live content.
- Engage with communities and support UGC opportunities.
- Program and manage content across platforms.
- Route assets for necessary approvals and ensure compliance with business standards.
- Deliver final content to partners and align with marketing plans.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams on content development.
- Support content amplification and daily team liaison.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in social media or community management.
- Strong writing skills and ability to convert traditional marketing content.
- Passion for storytelling and community engagement.
- Basic knowledge of digital analytics and social platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Box.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CRM tools (AirTable, Smartsheets, Zendesk).
- Familiarity with Sprinklr, Creator Studio, Keynote, Google Slides.
- Experience in brand entertainment marketing or streaming services.
- Experience in large, matrixed organizations.
- Degree or 5+ years of relevant experience.
