This position’s responsibilities include joining together optical fibers, which are used in telecommunications and data networking. The process of splicing fibers is crucial for the construction, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks.

Responsibilities:
As a Fiber Splicer at Deeply Digital, you will be responsible for:
- Fiber Optic Splicing: Efficiently splice and terminate fiber optic cables to ensure optimal performance and minimal signal loss.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot fiber optic issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize service disruptions.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks to guarantee that splicing work meets industry standards and our company's high-quality expectations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of splice locations, cable routes, and other relevant data for future reference.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on splicing equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the network engineering and operations teams to coordinate and execute fiber optic projects efficiently.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in fiber optic splicing, with a minimum of [X years] of hands-on experience.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as FOA (Fiber Optic Association) or equivalent are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using splicing equipment, fusion splicing, and OTDR testing.

- Safety: Committed to following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Travel: Be willing to travel regionally inside of Western Colorado. Overnight trips are common for this position.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working in various weather conditions and confined spaces.

- Durango, CO: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Work Location: Multiple locations. Travel is required for this position.
