Pay: $110,000 - $125,000/year
Shift: 1st shift, Monday - Thursday, (4x10)

What you will be doing:
- Manage and coordinate production activities within test and final process and support engineering, procurement, maintenance, and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications and delivery dates of engines ordered.
- Drive the daily continuous improvement (CI) process in production by coaching teams and team members to take initiative to solve problems and improve his or her job.
- Apply Production System (MPS) principles as well as the LEAN Methodology.
- Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine deviations from standards, causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.
- Consult with manufacturing, industrial and quality engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and the quality of products.
- Manage new engine build programs as needed in test and final process and keep management abreast of pending problems.
- Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, provide training and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence, discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances.
- Manage and confer with supervisors to coordinate the activities of hourly, non-exempt, employees engaged in the production or processing of heavy-duty diesel engines, specifically in test and final process production areas.
- Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 years of industrial or manufacturing engineering or leadership experience in a highly complex production environment; or 10 years of industrial or manufacturing engineering or leadership experience in an highly complex production environment
- 5 years working experience within a Lean Production System
- Experience in a leading role in the implementation of a Lean Production System including problem solving tools.
- Excellent knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods
- Excellent knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Must be available to work all shifts and/or flexible hours.
- Proficient with PC, controlled systems and MS Office Suite
