The Digital Marketing Manager role is a salaried position that reports to the Director of Digital Marketing and primarily focuses on launching and sustaining the digital footprint for Grand Prix Plaza (GPP), the physical home of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. This position will be responsible for the implementation of key critical digital marketing strategies, aimed at achieving immediate success of the year-round activations taking place at Grand Prix Plaza (GPP) including managing all digital aspects (i.e. web, social media, email/SMS, app, etc.) associated with the programming inside the building, as well as executing social and digital strategies for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support Director, Digital Marketing in launching social and digital channels to promote programming strategy inside Grand Prix Plaza (GPP)
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager, marketing team, third-party agencies, and third-party vendors to create and manage email campaigns, landing pages, website, and digital content, paid search, display, video, and social media advertising, leveraging the appropriate technical tools and optimizing user experience
- Develop and maintain a content calendar, covering all social channels, website, and app associated with GPP
- Draft copy tailored to each social platform’s specific audience, as well as for other needs, such as website and email initiatives
- Manage and deliver results on multiple digital marketing initiatives simultaneously
- Analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, make recommendations and take action to optimize results
- Liaise with contact for brand marketing for day-to-day needs, including adhoc requests and ensuring all marketing efforts are staying within brand standards
- Traffic cross-functional creative projects with third party agencies and requesting departments
- Stay current and educate others on frequent platform updates
- Establish ongoing meeting cadence with Creative team regarding content creation, providing insights, direction, and feedback as needed
- Execute digital marketing requirements with both the Las Vegas Grand Prix and Grand Prix Plaza teams
- Coordinate content production shoots as needed
- Other responsibilities as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Three (3+) years of experience in marketing working alongside third-party marketing agencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Progressive and forward-thinking style, comfortable with change and embracing innovation
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a deadline-driven environment
- A self-starter that effectively manages their time and excels in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Previous experience working in the sports industry or live events a plus
- Must demonstrate an active use and basic understanding of digital marketing, social media and brand management
- Must be available to work flexible hours
