Our client in the banking/financial services space is looking for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator to start ASAP. You would be building, activation, and ongoing management of marketing journeys and one-off emails in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
This role would be initially be contract (25 - 30 hrs/week) through early 2025 if remote. If located in Greenville, SC, then this role may be contract-to-hire.
Functions/responsibilities
- Execute digital marketing campaigns and strategies aligning with the company’s goals, brand standards and guidelines
- Build and deploy digital channel touchpoints, like email, social media, paid advertising, and website
- Stage, proof, and QA content in a WYSIWYG and/or HTML editor format
- Build compelling journeys, orchestrate automations, shape engaging email campaigns
- Support content personalization with Salesforce dynamic features
- Increase impact, reach and automation by scaling Marketing Cloud capabilities, including cross-channel journeys, A/B testing, content categorization, tagging, reporting, etc.
- Measure and analyze Marketing’s success using data and analytics tools; track metrics such as website traffic, conversion rates, engagement metrics, and ROI, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous optimization of marketing strategies
- Facilitate list management, upload, and mapping into Salesforce applications
- Ensure data quality expectations are met, maintain data hygiene by refining and enriching customer data within Salesforce, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our data
Education/Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud applications (Engagement, Personalization, Intelligence)
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance or related field, experience may be substituted
- 2-5 years of Digital Marketing with proven experience in similar role, prefer specialization in Salesforce suite
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, A/B testing, and automation
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for proofing and quality assurance
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively with a team, able to receive and implement feedback and edits
- Proficient knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, Google marketing tools, and other standard marketing software (Salesforce, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Google Ads etc.), proficient with Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, macros), with willingness to learn new and existing company-specific software applications
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator Certification or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Salesforce applications and tools with a specific focus on Marketing Cloud applications (i.e. Marketing Cloud, Intelligence, Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder)
Preferred (not required)
- Banking or other financial institution experience preferred
- Relevant certifications like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Administrator, etc.
- Experience with HTML/CSS for email template design and coding
- Proficiency with marketing analytics tools like Google Analytics and SEMRush.
- Experience writing and working with SQL for data analysis, querying, and reporting
