Job Title: RN - Intensive Care (Float Team)

Join our dedicated Float Team as an RN - Intensive Care and make a significant impact on patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a key member of our Intensive Care Unit, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care, including assessing needs, developing comprehensive care plans, and delivering care based on medical regimens. Supervise the care provided by LPNs, RNPs, nursing attendants, and other staff.
- Coordination: Develop and coordinate care plans, ensuring integration of age-specific needs and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Prioritize care based on patient needs and treatment plans.
- Documentation and Communication: Observe, document, and communicate patient responses to treatment and significant changes in condition. Ensure timely reassessment and effective communication with relevant team members.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of nursing and hospital standards. Demonstrate responsibility for professional growth and continuing education.
- Supervision and Support: Provide orientation and support to new nursing staff, assume charge responsibilities as delegated, and ensure appropriate patient coverage. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Professional Development: Engage in professional and community organizations, research projects, and educational programs. Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional growth and education.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Required)
- Experience: 3-5 years in a Level I or II Trauma Center; CRRT, CCRN, and TCRN certifications preferred. Competency in CRRT machine operation, vent/tracheostomy and gastrostomy tubes, medication titration, and A-lines required.
- Certifications: TCAR, BLS, ACLS, PALS, AHA Stroke certification (Required)
- Skills: Good interpersonal skills, discharge planning, patient care, knowledge of billing systems, and ability to teach.
Schedule:
- Shift: Days, 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM
- Days per Week: 3 days per week, including every other weekend
