Selby Jennings is working with a Chicago, IL based Private Equity firms that invests in middle market businesses across the supply chain industry, including the manufacturing, business services, aerospace & defense, and paper & packaging sectors. This investment firm is seeking additions at the Senior Associate and Vice President levels to join their deal team as they recently raised a new fund and are actively deploying capital.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and evaluating actionable investment opportunities.
- Managing the acquisition pipelines for current portfolio companies.
- Preparing investment committee reports to present to senior management.
- Conduct financial due diligence, modeling and financial risk analysis of business opportunities.
- Portfolio company monitoring and management
- Perform ongoing competitive analysis and work closely with internal stakeholders to assist in the company's strategic decision-making process.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree is required (MBA is not required)
- 3 - 5 years (Senior Associate) or 5 - 7 years (VP) of relevant work experience in private equity, investment banking, or strategic management consulting.
- Strong accounting, financial modeling, and data analysis skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to draft clear, concise, and comprehensive presentations and memoranda.
