Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Human Resources Manager at EditCo Bio in Redwood City, CA. The Senior HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR compliance. They will collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's goals and objectives. The Sr. HR Manager will be responsible for leading our HR initiatives and contributing to building a strong, positive culture at EditCo. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in HR management, a deep understanding of HR best practices, and a passion for creating a supportive and engaging work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or
- other issues.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement,
- motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the
- organization.
- Nurture a positive working environment and promote a culture of continuous
- improvement and innovation.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Work closely with external HR consultants to supplement HR functions and support.
- Coordinate with external companies for compensation reviews and benchmarking.
Qualifications
- Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Leader.
- 8-10 years of prior experience as an HR Generalist/Manager.
- Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance.
- People-oriented and results-driven.
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of
- the company.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Prior experience with administering benefits through PEO preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus
