Stone is a locally owned stone countertops, furniture and flooring business that offers exclusive products and services for residential and commercial remodels, as well as new construction. We are recruiting a professional and energetic Outside Sales Representative who will contribute their skills to the growth of the company. The ideal candidate has a background in working in commercial design or commercial construction and is a motivated individual who has an eye for design and excellent relationship building skills.
Responsibilities include:
- New business development to penetrate the commercial construction segment of our industry through prospecting, cold calls, and networking efforts.
- Selling products and services to drive company revenue.
- Identify, build, and maintain relationships with architects, designers, developers, builders or project owners.
- Create and provide customers with price estimates on projects.
- Keep clients up to date on pricing, product changes and order status.
- Work independently and enthusiastically towards the company and team's goals and directives
- Service existing accounts by nurturing relationships with the goal of increasing sales.
- Resolve any client issues or complaints in a timely manner.
- Visit job sites to check on the status of the project or review any issues with installation of products.
- Proficient knowledge of our product and services offerings to ensure proper recommendations to our clients.
- Maintain client orders and information in our systems.
Qualifications:
- College Degree or Equivalent Design Degree preferred
- Previous experience in commercial construction or design industry preferred
- 3-5 years of previous outside sales experience
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter and motivated to drive to meet and exceed sales
- Ability to problem solve
- Strong computer software skills
