The Sr. Project Engineer is responsible for project execution and leadership within the Global Operations Engineering Organization. This global team is responsible for improving the company and customer experience by delivering successful projects associated with operational margin expansion and strategic enablement platforms.
This position is part of the Global Operations Engineering team and will be based onsite in Cortland, NY.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Execute and lead project management activity including schedule, budget, escalation, internal & external team engagement.
- Execute and lead change management for manufacturing processes utilizing structured change control methodology/processes.
- Execute and lead structured problem-solving activity associated with manufacturing issues (internal and external) to identify root cause and implement effective & sustainable corrective actions.
- Execute and lead characterization of manufacturing processes to drive improvements to manufacturing capability.
- Execute and lead engineering solutions to drive operational margin expansion.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) and a track record demonstrating applicable work experience (typically > 4 years in a similar role).
- Actively participates in structured problem-solving (DMAIC, PSP, VRK, etc.) and makes decisions based on data and statistical analytics.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently at any level within the organization, in both oral and written forms.
- Identifies and follows an organized work structure and project management that establishes actions, dates, and accountability (daily management, Project VPM, etc.).
- Self-manages workload and connects with a manager for alignment on prioritization when conflicts arise.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Demonstrated ability to be "hands on" (go to Gemba) to learn new processes and build subject matter expertise through on-the-job experience and job assignments.
- Exposure and/or experience in manufacturing associated with batch or chemical processing, assembly automation, web handling, or similar macro business unit environments (BioPharma, Micro E, Energy, Automotive, etc.).
- Proficient use of the following software packages or equivalent: MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Minitab or other statistical software, AutoCAD, or other drafting software.

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $85k-$100k. This is the range that we, in good faith, believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and this range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
