GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Solar Ground Mount Construction Supervisor to oversee the installation and maintenance of solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, specifically within the renewable energy sector, and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.
This position is field base and requires occasional travel to other Davis Hill Development Sites.

As a Solar Project Developer, you'll engage with landowners, ranging from individuals to corporations, educating them on the project development process and securing partnerships through lease and purchase agreements.
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
As a Solar Project Developer, you'll be responsible for contributing to early-stage greenfield land acquisition in the Midwest and Northeast regions. Working closely with our GIS team, you'll identify and secure optimal sites for solar development, cultivating a pipeline of viable, competitive projects.
This role will report directly to the Vice President of Business Development and Origination.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise and lead ground mount solar installation projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage on-site construction teams and subcontractors, providing direction and support
- Act as the on site contact for Davis Hill Development
- Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and company policies.
- Collaborate with Director of Construction, engineers, and stakeholders to address any project-related issues and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, incident and injury reports, delivery tracking, etc.
- Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve construction-related challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Participate in pre-construction and weekly construction meetings and provide input on the planning phases to enhance project efficiency.
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience will also be considered).
- 5+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on solar energy projects or similar renewable energy installations.
- Strong knowledge of solar construction techniques, materials, and relevant regulations.
- Ability to read electrical, civil, and mechanical construction drawings
- Proven leadership capabilities, with experience managing teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
- Certification in OSHA safety training or equivalent preferred.
