JOB SUMMARY:
The primary role of this individual will be to provide direction, leadership, and vision in the field of Information Technology. The IT Managing Director will stay on top of current technologies to give employees the tools and training needed to manage their work. This includes developing, managing, and continuously improving IT processes and support of Enterprise level eCommerce platform, our computer systems, and servers.
JOB RESPOSIBILITIES:
- Remain current on eCommerce platforms and techniques, ERP systems, and complex IT infrastructure that can meet the varying demands of a broad range of users from novice to power-users.
- Enable software and hardware recommendations that maximize operating efficiencies and minimize costs.
- Align IT resources to support both business needs and long-term IT initiatives.
- Ensure integrity and security of all systems and data.
- Manage and lead all IT direct reports, including full stack programmers, UX/UI programmers, a systems specialist, and a system administrator.
- Manage 3rd party providers of hardware and software IT support of all systems in place at both corporate HQ as well as multiple remote locations.
- Perform regular software and infrastructure upgrades.
- Provide advanced network and user administration pertaining to setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, and backing-up systems.
- Budget, lead, and project-manage team and all resources towards the development and implementation of various software/hardware rollouts.
- Monitor and manage all IT projects.
- Create clear and concise documentation for rollouts and support.
- Research and make recommendations on hardware/software purchases and negotiate agreements with vendors.
- Resolve issues in a timely and effective manner to minimize system downtime and risk.
- Understand the company’s technology infrastructure and application platforms.
- Work with department heads and business owners on new projects
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- 7-10 years’ experience in a technology leadership role.
- Strong understanding of enterprise level eCommerce software and supporting infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and proven track record of application.
- Moderate understanding and experience with cloud-based ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Sage X3, Oracle NetSuite, or similar.
- General understanding of server backup methods and applications.
- Ability to manage Microsoft Server environment, including Active Directory administration, DNS, and DHCP.
- Moderate understanding of network technologies including IP Addressing, routing, switching, IPSEC tunneling, MPLS networks, and wireless technologies.
- Ability to determine business requirements and suggest alternative methods for successful implementation.
- Detail & task oriented with strong problem solving, prioritization and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to provide administration, support, and training for all IT related systems and applications.
- Ability to scale tools/processes in a fast-paced and changing environment.
