Biological Permitting Specialist
We have an immediate opportunity for a Permitting Specialist in the Central Valley. We are seeking a mid-to-senior level Permitting Specialist. This position requires an individual with Incidental Take Permit, Biological Opinion, Stream bed Alteration Agreement, and 401/404 Amendments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead technical document preparation.
- Ensure quality of work products.
- Manage permit application development oversight and review to include Incidental Take Permits.
- Manage project tracking and reporting.
- Lead consultation, permit strategy development and technical review of biological reports, biological opinions, permit applications and impact assessments prepared to satisfy NEPA and CEQA requirements.
Qualifications:
- At least five plus years prior experience and demonstrating previous experience with Incidental Take Permits.
- 4-year degree in Biology, working in Natural Resources, or related field.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to resolve problems and to work with stakeholders.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willing to travel and work outdoors in inclement weather, with the ability to travel through rough terrain in mountainous areas.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends.
