Senior IT Engineer – Intune & Autopilot Specialist

PURPOSE:
We are seeking a Senior IT Engineer with specialized expertise in Microsoft Intune and Autopilot to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving our strategic direction towards enhanced infrastructure management and security by deploying and leveraging the entire E5 Defender suite. The ideal candidate will not only have a broad skill set in infrastructure management but also a deep understanding and hands-on experience with Intune, Autopilot, and related technologies.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Implementation: Lead the setup, deployment, and ongoing management of Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, ensuring optimal use of these tools to streamline device management and security.
- Security Enhancement: Play a key role in the deployment and management of the E5 Defender suite, working closely with our MSP to ensure a secure and compliant environment.
- Infrastructure Management: Design, install, administer, and optimize company servers, primarily in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and other SaaS applications to achieve high-performance system and business applications.
- System Upgrades & Maintenance: Plan and implement upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches on servers, particularly within the Azure environment.
- Collaboration & Support: Provide Tier II and Tier III support, collaborate with technology/infrastructure staff, and liaise with vendors for problem resolution.
- Process Development: Develop and maintain processes and procedures for ongoing environment management, ensuring the availability of client/server applications.
- Project Leadership: Participate in and lead key projects and initiatives, implementing new platforms and technologies as needed to support business growth.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to other IT personnel, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years in systems administration with a strong background in VMs, Windows Server, 365, Azure, and Exchange.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, including device enrollment, compliance policies, application deployment, and remote troubleshooting.
- Azure AD: Proficiency in Azure Active Directory integration, including configuration of conditional access policies, identity synchronization, and multi-factor authentication.
- Security Focus: Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and a strong understanding of endpoint security, particularly within the E5 Defender suite.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: 6-8 years in systems administration, with advanced experience in Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Intune and Azure Administrator Associate.
- Networking & Security: Knowledge of networking systems (Cisco Meraki and Barracuda) and security tools (Microsoft Defender suite).
