The Role
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for maintaining a complete understanding of Nabis’ operational processes, along with the nuances of enterprise client relationships. The ideal candidate must be exceptionally organized, process-oriented, and a master communicator. This person must be a charismatic leader who can coach managers as well as associates. This person must thrive in an environment of intense pressure, short deadlines, and ever-changing requirements.
The Warehouse Manager will lead the most important facility at Nabis, and be directly responsible for organizing, overseeing, and strategizing the daily operations of the Central Valley location. They will command a 75+ person team, consisting of warehouse associates, drivers, supervisors, managers, a fleet of vehicles, and ultimately be responsible for setting and maintaining all operational metrics for productivity, sustainability, and quality of service. This is arguably one of the highest impact roles within the Nabis organization, and the person in this position will work directly with the California GM to scale Nabis’ services.
Responsibilities
- Own all day-to-day operational business functions including labor planning and delegation, monitoring inbound order volume/characteristics, and overall fulfillment strategy
- Own the quality and efficiency KPIs for all departments within the warehouse and provide coaching, accountability and follow up to ensure the warehouse meets its objectives
- Supervise, mentor, and develop all managers and associate level staff to consistently improve each department within the warehouse
- Manage the P&L for the largest Nabis facility, with keen attention to detail on ways to optimize the COGs within the location
- Evaluate and audit the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements on an ongoing basis
- Liaise cross functionally with other Nabis California facilities and ensure that the last mile delivery hubs are set up for success on a daily basis
- Oversee locational procurement processes and coordinate orders with each department
- Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability within the warehouse
- Revise and/or formulate policies and implement them as needed
- Manage relationships with external brand and retailer partners, vendors, and service providers that work with Nabis
- Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and performance metrics
- Support operational strategic objectives and key projects
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or General Manager
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Outstanding communication and people skills
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Familiarity with MS Office, Google Suite, and various business software (e.g., ERP, CRM)
- Budget and P&L management experience
- Systematic and highly analytical work habits
- Excellent time management skills
- Low-ego, adaptable, and high EQ
- Monday -- Friday on-site work availability
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be 21 years of age or older
