Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Controls Engineer to support various projects and equipment initiatives across multiple groups. This role involves providing electrical and controls expertise to enhance project outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical and controls engineering support to the Engineering team, including product, project, process, and plant engineering.
- Offer electrical support for set-up, including AMS/Programming.
- Lead automation projects focused on line optimization and continuous improvement.
- Provide hands-on support for future projects, including welding, automation, and controls.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues on existing equipment and projects.
- Propose and implement controls upgrade projects to optimize production.
- Identify, resolve, and escalate issues that may impact project objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Experience: Exposure to electrical fieldwork and experience managing electrical contractors.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project.
- Experience with PLC/Programming.
- Familiarity with AMS.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to use small tools and lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing and mill environment, with occasional travel (approximately 10%).
- Office environment as required.
