Pay Range: $110-125k, depending on experience
Summary:
The Quality Control Manager supports the quality function from all aspects of systems compliance, process assessment, and control. Supervises QC Lab personnel and all QC Lab activities.
This role will also be seen as the face of the Quality Department. You will have the opportunity to develop, teach, and instill a strong, collaborative culture in not only the department, but across the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate products and production equipment
- Ensure products adhere to quality standards
- Propose corrective actions to improve compliance with quality specifications
- Guide and teach Root Cause Analysis – entity wide
- Work according to deadlines for the delivery of products
- Ensure detailed and recorded inspections of final products are conducted so products are up to industry and company standards
- Collect, analyze and summarize data for accurate reporting
- Train and manage production line staff in quality assessment of product
- Completion of all required documentation
- Manage departmental staff in the day-to-day performance
- Ensure project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets
- Provide leadership within the department
- Recommend and implement enhancements to the quality system that result in improved corporate quality performance, increased customer satisfaction, and/or simplification of processes
- Assess potential quality risks, and evaluate human factors and natural process variation with the goal of preventing unnecessary costs
- Ensure readiness for all internal and external quality audits
- Work with all departments to understand multiple priorities and set workflow schedules through the Inspection Dept
- Assist with analysis and documentation of non-conformances both systemic and process/product oriented
- Perform Internal Quality Audits to ensure compliance
- Train inspectors in CMM usage, Faro Arm, GD&T, surface plate set ups, inspection techniques

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Quality Department- QC inspectors/Engineers/QA personnel
Qualifications:
10+ years’ experience in Quality
5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
At least 5+ years’ experience in a Quality Management Role
Previous work experience in an ISO 9000 or AS9100 registered organization
Customer quality assurance experience
Formal training and previous experience as a Lead Auditor
Inspection Experience - Mechanical and Process
Experience with JobBoss and Nadcap is a plus
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field OR relevant experience with equivalent qualifications.
Five years’ experience in the Quality Department in an industrial manufacturing environment
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write procedural documents, routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Computer Skills:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
