Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager with a strong background in tenant improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects, from pre-construction planning through project completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage tenant improvement projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Oversee the work of project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor costs, and implement strategies to keep projects within financial targets.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work complies with company standards, building codes, and client specifications.
- Problem Solving: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address issues that arise during the construction process.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed project records, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and reports.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management with a focus on tenant improvement projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of construction processes, budgeting, and scheduling. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Certifications: PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
