aeSolutions is hiring an experienced Process Safety Engineer to join the Process Safety Management (PSM) group in the Houston, TX area. This person will join a highly-specialized team of process safety experts, bringing their expertise to bear for clients while serving as a Facilitator for PHA/LOPA studies; this person may also be involved in complex PSM projects as an Auditor or Lead Assessor on Facility Siting projects depending on skill set. This position can be based in Houston or remotely in Texas, Louisiana, South Carolina, North Carolina, or Alaska for the right candidate.
This person will also provide oversight to junior-level staff, support proposal development, provide QA/QC on deliverables, and serve as Technical Lead on projects with multiple diverse team members.

Qualifications / Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in Process Safety related to facilitating PHA/LOPAs, PSM/RMP program development and auditing, consequence modeling, and/or facility siting
- Formal training in PHA and/or LOPA desired
- Experience in PHA, consequence modeling, and/or QRA software desired
- Process Controls or SIS experience a plus
- The willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time; Valid driver's license required
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision
