Pressure Vessel Project Manager
Responsibilities for Project Manager:
- Work as the liaison between the company and the client for individual projects.
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Track project costs to meet budget.
- Oversee the creation of drawings and calculations for individual projects and maintain schedule of providing to client in a timely manner and keep up with revisions.
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan. Monitor progress of project and adjust as needed.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various parties about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing Manager / Purchasing Department to purchase project materials.
- Maintaining relationships with vendors and overseeing their activities for specific projects
- Signing and reviewing Purchasing Agreements to vendors to ensure items are ordered correctly.
- Maintain consistent communication with shop personnel. Supply necessary materials and information (such as drawings and paperwork) to adhere to the project delivery schedule.
- Present updates for projects at weekly production meetings.
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred but not required.
- 5 years of Project Management and related experience.
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Compress and AutoCAD capability preferred.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, and best practices.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-starter, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor.
- Exhibit good verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of ASME Code Rules preferred.
