Our client is looking for a (Construction) Planning & Development Project Manager to join their team. This position is a direct hire position.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage Projects: Oversee and coordinate all stages of projects from the beginning to the end, including planning, bidding, and closing.
- Work with Design Team: Collaborate with the design team to ensure projects follow the approved plans.
- Report to Management: Prepare reports for upper management about how the projects are progressing.
- Coordinate with Agencies: Work with government and utility agencies to meet all requirements and keep projects moving forward.
- Monitor Budgets: Check project budgets every month to make sure they are accurate and reflect the current status.
- Solve Issues: Address and resolve complex problems related to planning, design, and construction.
- Review Project Progress: Regularly check on project planning, design, and construction to ensure they stay within the approved plans.
- Assist with Contracts: Help the project team with contracts and planning for bids.
- Implement Guidelines: Follow and suggest improvements to project policies and procedures.
- Evaluate New Strategies: Look at new developments and strategies that could affect the projects.
- Estimate Costs: Work with technical staff to estimate costs for building and renovation projects.
- Other Duties: Perform other related tasks as needed.
Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience managing public, educational, or commercial projects, including overseeing all aspects from planning to closing.
- Experience managing multiple projects at the same time is preferred, especially in educational modernization.
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management is preferred.
- A valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential can substitute for the degree.
- If you don’t meet the education requirement, you can substitute experience instead, as long as you can show strong skills in the required duties.
