Our client is the in-house creative studio of a leader in retail seeking a 3D Project Manager, for a 40 hours/week, 4-month assignment with possible extension that will be onsite 4 days/week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) in the San Bruno, CA office.
In this role, the 3D Project Manager will report to the Senior Manager of 3D Ops, manage multiple projects and schedules simultaneously, and work directly with 3D asset vendors and cross-functional teams.
The 3D Project Manager will:
- Ensure that department SLAs and standards are maintained
- Evolve processes to keep pace with the changing landscape of business needs and available 3D production technologies
- Plan and manage execution of multiple, concurrent 3D/CGI projects from intake, through creative development, feedback rounds, asset routing and approval, delivery and cataloging within DAM; collaborate with 3D operations team to maximize creative and production capacity, holding self and project team accountable for project delivery
- Clearly communicate expectations, milestones and action items throughout the project life cycle for all contributors within creative teams (3D Team and Creative Team) and project requesters; monitoring progress versus plan; tracking resources, expenditures and budgets
- Identify and articulate risks and concerns with management; think strategically about communication in order to negotiate project schedules, educate and manage stakeholder expectations, and resolve issues with solutions-oriented mindset
- Keep management informed by preparing performance reports, interpreting information, making recommendations, and providing informational presentations when needed
- QC digital twins and 2D imagery as needed
The 3D Project Manager must have:
- 4+ years of experience in a technology project management role within a matrixed organization, working closely with content creators such as 3D modelers, digital artists, CDs, etc.
- Superior project timeline development, risk assessment, communication, resource allocation and prioritization skills
- In-depth working knowledge of 3D/CGI project workflow; technical knowledge in multimedia and digital production
- Experience in management and delivery of large-scale marketing campaigns
- Experience with Workfront, Airtable, and Figma preferred
