Summary:
Our client is looking for a Quality Engineer to bring technical expertise in performance excellence, Voice of the Customer, and process improvement efforts in order to prevent nonconforming products from reaching customers.
Responsibilities:
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving meetings with root cause analysis and corrective action plans follow-ups.
- Perform reliability/repeatability and measurement system analysis.
- Develop and implement process auditing and measurement systems for internal and external processes.
- Represent VOC in the facility and hold all team members to determined standards of excellence.
- Coach Quality Control Inspectors and Process Auditors - Teach
- Utilize Lean tools to investigate and communicate problem statements and root causes for customer, internal, and supplier concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (mechanical engineering or similar).
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with 5S
- Experience in quality management systems and Total Quality Management concepts.
- Proficiency in basic Lean Manufacturing tools or TPS
- Knowledge of statistical tools for problem-solving, process measurement, process control, and process improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
