Client is embarking on a groundbreaking Data Strategy initiative aimed at transforming our data management and governance capabilities. Recognizing the immense value of data as a strategic asset and the imperative to comply with privacy laws such as CCPA, GDPR, and PIPEDA, we have launched the Enterprise and Information Management (EIM) program. This initiative will modernize how we harness, manage, and protect our data, aligning it with our business goals and compliance requirements.
As the Project Manager, you will work with our strategy partners to lead the assessment of our current data landscape, design a visionary future state, and develop a robust plan to bridge the gap. Your role will be pivotal to ensure our objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge our requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases.
- Accountability: The Project Manager is accountable for the success of the project.
- Resource Allocation: Estimate and secure the necessary resources, including team members, and materials, to achieve project goals.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for project communications, clearly conveying project status, issues, and risks to all stakeholders.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate concerns as necessary.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and company policies, and standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into project requirements as needed. Manage and resolve conflicts within the project team and with external stakeholders.
- Project Monitoring and Closure: Track project performance against objectives, manage changes to scope or schedule, and conduct project closure activities to formalize acceptance of the outcomes.
- Partnership: Work with detailed business analysis to understand and document business requirements, translating them into actionable project plans. Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Alignment: Work closely with the PMO to ensure alignment of project goals, adherence to governance standards, and successful integration with other ongoing digital initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Certifications: PMP certification (or equivalent) required; additional certifications in [relevant area, e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Six Sigma] preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management with a focus on data management.Strong background in managing complex projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Business Analysis: business analysis techniques, requirements gathering, and translating business needs into technical solutions. Strong knowledge and previous experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage project teams to achieve high performance.
- Communication and Interpersonal: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and effective communication with non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to navigate project challenges.
- Organization: Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Risk Management: Competency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and business needs, maintaining flexibility and a positive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- General understanding of renewable energy (or other industries focused on saving the planet) and their related technologies is a plus.
