We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Construction Supervisor with proven construction management and supervisory experience, particularly in wireless projects. This is a 4-month contract position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Wireless Access Point (WAP) installations (Aruba preferred) and will assist our project management teams in overseeing the daily work of low voltage contractors, ensuring project milestones are met, and communicating updates effectively to both the team and leadership.
This is a field-based position in Orlando, FL (onsite). Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily operations of low voltage contractors on-site, ensuring work adheres to project specifications, with a focus on Wireless Access Point (WAP) installations.
- Track project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays, particularly regarding the installation of wireless infrastructure.
- Effectively communicate project updates, timelines, and potential roadblocks to project management teams and leadership.
- Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure alignment on goals, expectations, and WAP deployment strategies.
- Review and interpret blueprints and technical specifications to guide wireless access point installation and other low voltage system installations.
- Enforce compliance with safety standards, ensuring all workers utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety regulations.
- Proactively resolve on-site challenges related to low voltage and wireless installations, keeping the project on track.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in construction management or supervisory roles within the wi-fi sector.
- Extensive knowledge of Wireless Access Point installations (Aruba preferred) and low voltage systems.
- Ability to effectively manage low voltage contractors on active construction sites, ensuring smooth, on-time installations of wireless systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documents
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under varying site conditions
- Must have strong computer and written communication skills
- Ability to work comfortably on active construction sites under various conditions.
- Physical Demands:
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Relevant certifications in construction management, low voltage systems, or wireless technology installations are a plus.
- Compensation & Benefits:Pay range of $35-$45 per hour
