Our client is seeking a Quality Manager to take the lead in ensuring the excellence of their manufacturing processes. This individual will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives at their facility, focusing on maintaining and enhancing product quality. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and holds themselves and their work to the highest standards. This role will be pivotal in representing the quality perspective in collaboration with various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of quality and customer focus throughout the organization.
- Communicate with customers regarding quality objectives and implement corrective actions as needed to uphold the quality management system (QMS).
- Ensure that customer requirements and expectations are clearly identified, communicated, and consistently met or exceeded in the quality of finished products.
- Oversee the integration and maintenance of the quality management system across all departments within the plant.
- Conduct regular quality checks on processes, documentation, and metrics to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Lead the collection of data, monitor metrics, and report on plant performance against established corporate standards.
- Advise plant management and corporate quality representatives on the performance and needs of the quality management system.
- Identify and implement improvements to the quality management system to better meet corporate and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- At least seven years of experience in a quality-focused role, with expertise in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), managing projects, and using quality tools such as APQP, layered audits, and more.
- ISO 9001 experience is required.
