Job Description:
Project Manager in support of the final design, construction and successful implementation of multi-million-dollar energy efficiency MEP/ Building Automation projects. Minimum of 5 years on site construction safety experience and construction project management experience focusing on complex facility infrastructure construction, renovations, retrofits, upgrades, building controls and automation, and energy services. Active OSHA 30 Certification required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily construction, administrative and technical management of renewable construction projects delivering energy savings for public, institutional, government and commercial customers;
- Assist the Senior Project Manager as required with project accounting, budgeting, project schedule and tracking, reporting quality management and internal communications;
- Ensure compliance with Company’s financial policies and procedures to include revenue recognition policies and project set up rules. Serve and assist as a liaison between the business office and operations;
- Direct interface with customers managing customer service, relationships and contractual obligations;
- Assist the Engineering and Development team and the Senior Project Manager in project design and development including scope, subcontractor selection, cost estimation, installation and project scheduling;
- Regularly monitor assigned project performance and cost estimates to forecast estimates through to project completion for reasonableness against plans and actual expense rate;
- Review subcontractor and vendor bids solicited by the Senior Project Manager to help determine scope, schedule, timely delivery for all project related materials, equipment and construction services;
- Assist the Senior Project Manager in managing vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality control, project delivery on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding customer expectations;
- Directly manage construction managers (site supervisors) as assigned to ensure quality control, project delivery on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding customer expectations;
- Maintain and update project schedules to reflect current information, monitor critical path activities and tracking of outstanding items;
- Provide a detailed 2 week look schedule to facilitate customer coordination and planning;
- Assist the Senior Project Manager in managing project expenditures and job cost accounting processes: including accuracy, documentation, approvals, payment reporting, monthly forecasting and tracking;
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, customer and jurisdictional safety standards, practices and codes;
Additional Qualifications:
- Demonstrated work experience with several of the following energy efficiency disciplines - direct digital energy controls systems, variable frequency drives, high efficiency motors, central plant chiller and boiler installations, lighting retrofits, renewable energy technology, warranty and service requirements,
- Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, mechanical and electrical systems development, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.
- Completion or progress toward engineering, technical, or industry-related education preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project.
- Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
- Ability to pass DOE security investigation and DOT substance testing requirements.
- Travel required; and ability to perform other duties as required.
