Job Summary
The IT Support person will provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. They will respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and determine and implement solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to our team.
Responsibilities
- Respond to IT support requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
- Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Provide support for network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and telecommunication systems.
- Document and maintain IT support procedures and knowledge base articles.
- Train employees on the use of hardware, software, and IT systems.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure comprehensive support coverage.
- Monitor and enforce IT security policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux OS environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other common software applications.
- Familiarity with network protocols, services, and standards (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker, VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience with remote desktop support tools.
Additional Desirable Knowledge and Skills
- Cybersecurity training and certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP).
- Experience with cloud services and platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
- Understanding of VoIP and telecommunication systems.
Qualifications
- Four-year Baccalaureate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, and/or
- Equivalent relevant experience of 1 to 5 years in IT support or a related role.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to attend meetings in-person at one of Aegis’ office locations.
