The Vice President, Engineering at Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) is a pivotal leadership role dedicated to steering progressive engineering practices and fostering innovation within our manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the VP, Operations, this position requires an accomplished engineering executive who is well-versed in advanced technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and automation applications. - Manage budgeting and resource allocation among engineering projects, ensuring optimal investment in automation technologies and innovative practices.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage in close collaboration with manufacturing, R&D, sales, and marketing departments to synchronize engineering efforts with overarching business goals and evolving customer demands, focusing on technology-driven solutions.
- Project Management: Manage complex engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet strict timelines, budgets, and quality standards, with a special focus on integrating advanced technologies.
- Site & Facility Selection: Lead and participate in the site selection process for new or expanding manufacturing facilities, emphasizing the integration of advanced technological capabilities and automation readiness.
- Construction Oversight: Oversee construction activities for manufacturing facilities, focusing on innovative architectural and engineering solutions that incorporate automation and technological advancements from the planning and design stages through to procurement and construction management.
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Support: Evaluate potential M&A targets from an engineering perspective, assessing technical feasibility and the capacity for operational integration of advanced technologies and automation.
- Leadership of Engineering Teams: Direct a diverse team of Directors, Engineering Unit Managers, and staff, fostering an environment that encourages technological adeptness, mentorship, and the pursuit of engineering excellence.
- Resource Allocation: Strategically allocate resources to maximize productivity and efficiency. Manage engineering budgets and timelines with an emphasis on investments in automation technologies and resource optimization.
- Risk Management: Identify and address technical and operational risks, particularly those associated with new technologies and automation. Implement measures to ensure business continuity and resilience in a technologically advancing environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering: Required, with a preference for majors in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering to provide a strong technical foundation.
- Advanced Degree: An MBA, MS, or PhD in a related field is highly desirable, enhancing the candidate's strategic and analytical capabilities, particularly in areas relevant to advanced technologies and automation.
