Senior Propulsion Test Engineer
EVONA are working with a company who are at the forefront of aerospace technology with a goal of making space accessible and livable for future generations.
They are looking for a Senior Propulsion Test Engineer to join their team in California and support the development of systems needed on their spacecraft.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Test Conductor overseeing and executing hotfire tests
- Lead hazardous operations including work with high pressure fluids
- Write test procedures for hazardous operations
- Support Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs)
- Work with the test stand technicians during the engine install and test
- Work collaboratively with GSE engineers in the design and modification of fluid and electrical systems on the engine test stands
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- 2+ years of experience in the operation, design and development of fluid systems
- Experience with hardware testing
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Propulsion experience in collegiate rocket program
- Experience handling cryogenic fluids
- Experience with NX and Teamcenter
- Experience with Epsilon3
- Experience with JIRA / Confluence
- Experience building and testing high pressure fluid/gas systems
- Tube fitting & bending, familiar with industry fittings systems
- Read & interpret drawings
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work overtime, or weekends to support critical mission milestones
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
- Travel 25% to test site
