Role: Construction Estimator - Industrial & Commercial - New Construction
Location: San Antonio, TX
Salary: up to $165,000 DOE

I am currently seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to welcome to one of my clients teams based in San Antonio. My client are a Construction & Civil Engineering firm with a large focus on large scale Industrial & Commercial projects throughout the city and surrounding areas!
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately estimate costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors for commercial and industrial projects.
- Compile and submit competitive bids, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
- Review project plans and specifications to understand scope and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating the best prices and terms.
- Assist in developing project budgets and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Recommend cost-effective alternatives without sacrificing quality.
- Identify potential risks in the estimation process and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure cost alignment with project goals.
- Stay informed on market trends and material costs to maintain accurate and competitive estimates.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years in construction estimating, with a focus on Industrial and large-scale Commercial projects valued at $80M or more.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift) and MS Office Suite. Strong understanding of construction drawings and industry practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting estimates and proposals.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
