We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Technician with 3-5 years of hands-on experience and an EPA Universal Certification to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. You will ensure that all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
- Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC/R systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and various refrigeration units.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate installation.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect and clean components, replace filters, and check refrigerant levels.
- Conduct system tests and troubleshoot issues to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC/R systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Replace or repair defective parts, such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and refrigerant lines.
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of all service requests.
- Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or apprenticeship preferred.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Commercial HVAC Technician.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, components, and controls.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and components (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in various environments, including rooftops, confined spaces, and outdoor settings.
- Ability to work on ladders and scaffolding as needed.
