Engineering Manager
Responsible and able to handle all preconstruction activities required on a Large project typically $5M-100M in revenue.
Must possess the technical skills and soft skills necessary to support our client base.
Education: Technical College Degree. BSME, BSAE, Construction Science preferred.
Years of experience:
Serve 5 years as Design Engineer, (see Item 1 below), Pass the Fundaments of Engineering Exam. P.E is preferred, EIT mandatory; should meet the qualifications to obtain license within 12 months.
Software: MS Office Excel, Word, Access; AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace
Duties include:
- Experience required Design of ductwork, piping, plumbing systems.
- Perform cooling and heating loads.
- Tasks include drawing take-off equipment and plumbing fixtures.
- Ability to manage estimating activities for several projects to meet bid deadlines, including internal pre-bid meetings.
- Prepare material matrix to that meet project specifications and Dynaten construction standards.
- Solicit and vet proposals from subcontractors, vendors and other trades to meet project requirements.
- Compose Proposal; contents to include project scope, price, clarifications and exclusions.
- Complete bid forms and other requisite documents requested by general contractor.
- Preparation of Recapitulation Excel Workbook that will be the basis for management review and acceptance of cost estimate.
- Prepare compliance documents in accordance with Dynaten SOP.
- Complete the design of preliminary construction plans (i.e., Schematic Design, Design Development)
- Prepare pre-bid RFI’s.
- Support management review meetings prior to bid is submitted.
- Lead management review meetings prior to bid is submitted.
- Point of contact for post-bid, pre award activities; internal and external.
- Lead hand-over meeting to operation team.
- Participate in Cost to complete for assigned projects.
