Overview:
Intelletec Energy are hiring for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team, reporting directly into the Director of Engineering as the second most senior member of the team.
The company is a well respected full service EPC, testing and commissioning company specializing in complex medium and high voltage electrical infrastructure in the Texas region and across North America.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Sales and Operations teams to develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for clients.
- Prepare, review, and distribute proposals in accordance with defined scope items and RFQ deadlines.
- Conduct field walk-downs with customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel to understand project requirements and scope.
- Perform field take-offs and evaluations to support estimate preparation.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency by comparing various project documents and entering all proposals into company estimating software.
- Engage in estimate review processes with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support sales and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle by tracking and clarifying cost estimates.
- Assist in preparing change order submittals as needed.
- Close out projects by finalizing scope definitions and billing requirements with the operations team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or completion of formal Electrical Trades School is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in the electrical testing field or a similar electrical power industry
- Prior experience as an Estimator on electrical testing projects is advantageous.
- Strong ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe PDF, and Salesforce.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Salary will be commensurate with experience.
