Data Engineer - Energy Trading - Houston
We are working with a leading energy trading firm who are passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technology that are seeking a motivated Data Engineer to be responsible for building and maintaining their market data analytics for their trading team.
You will work closely with quantitative analysts, data scientists and software engineers to ensure that the data pipelines are robust, scalable and efficient to enhance and support systematic trading activities.
Your skills/responsibilities:
- Have hands on Python software development experience
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support algorithmic trading strategies.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with Quant teams to understand data requirements and optimise data workflows.
- Automate data ingestion, processing, and storage processes to support real-time and batch trading systems.
- Work with AWS cloud platforms and tools to manage data infrastructure and ensure high availability.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data-related code and infrastructure.
This role is 5 days a week in Houston office
