Job Description:
Tech Mahindra is seeking a dedicated and skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for applications hosted on cloud platforms, particularly with a focus on web technologies, data aggregation, and API management. This role is vital to ensuring the stability and efficiency of applications used by our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Web Technologies Support:
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for web-based applications, ensuring seamless compatibility and performance across different browsers, especially Chrome.
• Diagnose and resolve browser-related issues using tools like Chrome DevTools.
• Cloud Services Management:
• Monitor and maintain applications hosted on cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring they run smoothly and meet performance standards.
• Assist in deploying updates and managing cloud resources to accommodate user demand.
• Data Aggregation:
• Support data aggregation processes from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate data from various APIs, ensuring efficient and seamless data flow.
• API Management:
• Provide support for RESTful APIs, including troubleshooting issues and ensuring proper documentation.
• Assist in testing APIs to guarantee they meet functional and performance requirements.
• Scripting and Automation:
• Use scripting languages like Python or Bash to automate tasks, enhancing operational efficiency.
• Develop and manage scripts to monitor applications, automate deployments, and handle cloud resources.
• Chrome DevTools Expertise:
• Utilize Chrome DevTools for debugging, performance analysis, and optimization of web applications.
• Configure and manage Chrome browser settings to align with security and performance requirements.
• Shift Work:
• Operate effectively in a 24/7 rotational shift environment, providing continuous support to clients across different time zones.
• Manage incidents promptly, ensuring swift resolution and maintaining high service standards.
Qualifications:
• Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 12 months of experience in a technical support role or a similar position.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and familiarity with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and related services.
• Experience with data aggregation tools, such as Apache Kafka or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and experience with tools like Postman for API testing.
• Basic scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Chrome DevTools and experience in managing browser settings.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering swift and effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
